Media Matters: USA Today pushes the “bottom-up” tea party myth

Continuing the parade of unfortuante and possibly unintentional sex puns, Media Matters declares this morning that daily advertorial newspaper USA Today is perpetuating the myth that the teabagging craze is a “bottom-up” grassroots movement. If you ask us, that’s just nuts.

For weeks, the right-wing activists promoting the so-called “tea party” tax protests have been complaining that the media isn’t paying enough attention to their stunt. They must be thrilled with the puff piece in today’s USA Today.
